Tutorial to patch:

Go to Computer > Local DISK(C:) > Program Files > Sony > Vegas Pro 12.0 > Paste the patch file at this folder(Vegas Pro 12.0) > right click at patch file and click "run as admisnistrator" > When it opened,click PATCH 

Turn off your anti virus first

There are no virusses but patches are usually read as false positives on certain virus scanners due to their program's nature

Your virus scanner will think this virus because this patch will crack the software!
