Adobe CS5 Block activation hosts file

Have you ever wanted to block adobe activation when you're using an illegal serial key?
Yeah you can do that without any firewall application! :D
You need to edit the hosts file on your laptop/computer!

To find the hosts file(Windows):
• Open "My Computer"
• Open Drive C
• Open Windows folder
• Open System32 folder
• Open Drivers folder
• Open Etc folder
• Double-click the hosts file and choose to open using Notepad when you're asked.

At the end of the file add the following list and save: practivate.adobe practivate.adobe.ipp practivate.adobe.newoa practivate.adobe.ntp

*If you get "Access Denied" when trying to save the file,then you should "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"

To find the hosts file(MAC):
1. In Finder, select the Go menu, then select the "GO to Folder" menu option.
2. Type /etc for the folder name, and click Go
3. Locate the hosts file, and DRAG/COPY it to the desktop.
4. Double click that copied hosts at destkop to edit that
5. Add a new line at the bottom that contains the IP address and the host name.
6. Save the changes.
7. Drag the hosts file at the destkop to the /etc folder
8. Press the button to Authenticate.
9. Press the button to Replace the file.
10. Enter your password.

Add this at the end of the hosts file(number 5):

  1. I've been trying to block the adobe activation for a while and nothing till now. An example is that, I've tried so much with some program that, there were already several lines with the IP adress you've told us to add in hosts file. Can you figure it out why it is still not working?

  2. Thanks It Worked! All the way from The Bahamas. ^_^
